Grace, kenianische Schriftstellerin englischer Sprache, * Butere (bei Kisumu) 15. 5. 1930. In ihren ersten Prosawerken stellte sie die moralischen Normen der traditionellen Gesellschaften als zeitlos gültig dar und bezog ihre Inspiration v. a. aus der mündlichen Erzählkunst der Volksgruppen Westkenias. Ihre späteren Werke greifen Probleme des städtischen Lebens in Kenia auf.

Kurzgeschichten: Land without thunder (1968); The other woman (1976); The island of tears (1980).
